TEST PROCTOR GUIDELINES
Administering the L.I.E.S. Test
(Loyalty to Ignorance, Extremism, and Subterfuge)
Welcome, Test Proctors!
As Donald Trump unleashes his second term—a grotesque sequel to the catastrophic farce of his first—it falls to you to administer the L.I.E.S. Test to Trump voters. This is not just a test; it’s an autopsy—a dissection of the intellectual decay, sycophantic fervor, and willful ignorance that conspired to resurrect Trumpism.
Let’s be clear: This test is not merely an assessment; it’s a reckoning—a spotlight on the consequences of abandoning reason and morality for fear, tribalism, and grievance politics. Trump and his enablers knew they couldn’t win on policies, principles, or character—so they weaponized misinformation, propaganda, and outright lies, reducing the electorate to little more than a mob guided by primal instincts of rage and paranoia.
Trump’s victory wasn’t earned; it was engineered, exploiting the dangerous intersection of ignorance and fear. When these forces collide, they forge a volatile, easily manipulated environment where hysteria, misinformation, and demagoguery thrive. The foundation of Trump’s win rested not on facts or reason, but on a web of lies and inflamed emotions—an advantage he shamelessly weaponized to seize and consolidate power.
Your Role As Proctor
Your task is simple: oversee the administration of the L.I.E.S. Test, ensuring compliance with the directions. Each section of the test covers a carefully crafted weapon of deception that Trump wielded with ruthless intent to undermine democracy itself.
Every test-taker must confront their complicity. Each box checked represents not just what they believed but the role they played in enabling the lies that powered Trump’s calamitous return to power.
The L.I.E.S. Test is not a game; it is a tool of accountability in a nation drowning in a deluge of disinformation.
Good luck, Proctors. You’re navigating the wreckage of a nation that elevated irrationality over reason and resentment over responsibility. Stand firm; you are the last line of defense in a world where facts teeter on the brink of extinction.
Note to the Test Taker
Welcome, Trump Voter!
Thank you for agreeing to take the L.I.E.S. Test. By the end, you will confront the full extent of your intellectual malpractice and moral complacency. If your Ignorance Quotient is alarmingly high—and let’s face it, it probably will be—remind yourself that self-awareness is the first step toward rehabilitation. Not that we expect you to take that step. Let’s be honest: doubling down on delusion is far more your speed.
The 2024 election wasn’t a victory; it was a national faceplant into the mud of disinformation. You didn’t vote for Trump based on policies, solutions, or even basic competence—understandable, as he didn’t campaign on these either. No, his second rise to power was a masterstroke of manipulation—a relentless torrent of propaganda designed to drown out truth and flood the electorate (you!) with fear and lies.
Every tool of deception was weaponized.
And you fell for it.
Trump’s devastating return to power is entirely on you.
Which Lies Did You Buy Into?
Below is the catalog of Trump’s arsenal of deception, categorized into five distinct forms: Disinformation, Misinformation, Malinformation, Propaganda, and Fake News. This is the lexicon of our fractured era—each one wielded with ruthless precision by Trump, the GOP, MAGA loyalists, right-wing media, and their enablers to mislead and manipulate you, and, oh yeah, systematically dismantle the foundations of democracy.
Test Directions:
Identify and check all the lies below that apply to your belief system—or your complicity in justifying your support for Donald Trump.
The test isn’t timed—take all the hours you need. We know critical thinking isn’t exactly your strong suit.
1. Disinformation
Definition: “False or misleading information deliberately created and disseminated with the intent to deceive or manipulate.”
☐ Infanticide Hoax:
Trump falsely claimed that Democrats supported "post-birth abortions" (infanticide)—a heinous falsehood meant to enrage evangelical voters. Religious leaders amplified this baseless rhetoric, even as it was debunked by FactCheck.org and the Associated Press. This narrative was a staple of Trump’s stump speeches, weaponizing fear and moral outrage.
☐ The Caravan Invasion:
Footage of a migrant caravan heading to the U.S. border was twisted by MAGA influencers into a story of an “imminent invasion.” Trump’s ads labeled these migrants criminals and terrorists, ignoring the fact that they were largely asylum seekers. The fearmongering persisted even after Reuters, BBC News, and human rights organizations debunked the claims.
☐ Fabricated Gender Hysteria:
Trump’s campaign reportedly spent an estimated $350 million on anti-transgender ads—more than on any other issue—saturating airwaves and digital platforms with fearmongering messages about the "loss of traditional values." Right-wing influencers and MAGA politicians fabricated a “transgender bathroom crisis” and spread false claims about Biden mandating gender-neutral bathrooms nationwide. The so-called "trans athletes crisis" is pure hysteria, built on exaggerated anecdotes and misinformation rather than facts. Claims that transgender athletes are "ruining women’s sports" hinge on exceedingly rare, cherry-picked cases designed to stoke outrage, ignoring the overwhelming reality: transgender participation in sports is negligible and often faces significant barriers. Furthermore, existing regulations across athletic organizations—including the NCAA and International Olympic Committee (IOC)—already ensure fairness through policies that address any perceived advantages while promoting inclusivity. Studies by Media Matters and The Washington Post reveal that these ads fueled hostility and violence against transgender individuals.
☐ The Voter Fraud Lie:
Republicans alleged that Democrats were registering noncitizens en masse to vote for Democratic candidates, fabricating evidence of mass fraud. Investigations found no such incidents, but the narrative fed into broader voter suppression tactics targeting marginalized communities.
☐ Deepfake Duplicity:
In one of the most brazen conspiracy theories, pro-Trump PACs and right-wing pundits said that a Chinese factory was mass-producing fake ballots to swing the election. MAGA media showcased grainy, unverifiable footage as "proof." The FBI and independent watchdogs confirmed the claims were baseless, but not before MAGA influencers fanned the flames, galvanizing distrust among Trump’s base and fueling xenophobia.
☐ Hunter Biden’s AI-generated email scandal:
The October surprise of 2024 was a flood of AI-generated documents supposedly from Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop. These “emails” contained fabricated evidence of financial misconduct implicating Joe Biden. Experts from The Washington Post and MIT Technology Review quickly identified the content as deepfakes, but the narrative spread unchecked across right-wing media, driving MAGA forums into a frenzy.
2. Misinformation
Definition: “False or inaccurate information, often due to misunderstanding or ignorance.”
☐ Inheritance Tax Panic:
Trump’s supporters widely shared memes stating Biden planned to impose a 40% tax on all inheritances. Credible news outlets debunked the claim, but the misinformation stoked panic among rural and working-class voters who feared losing generational wealth.
☐ Election Date Deception:
Trump surrogates flooded social media with incorrect information about voting dates, claiming Democrats had secretly changed them. This information, propagated by influencers, targeted battleground state voters with this harmful misinformation.
☐ “Rigged Election” Mantra:
Trump and his allies perpetuated unfounded claims that the 2024 election would be rigged or stolen, laying the groundwork for challenging the results if he lost. These assertions lacked credible evidence but were amplified to erode public trust in elections. Moreover, Trump’s campaign inundated social media with conflicting narratives about the 2024 election, creating a relentless cycle of misinformation designed to keep his base engaged and enraged. This flood of falsehoods overwhelmed fact-checkers and made it nearly impossible for voters to distinguish truth from lies.
3. Malinformation
Definition: “Information with perhaps a seed of reality but used to harm, mislead, or cause damage by presenting it out of context or in a deliberately harmful manner.”
☐ Critical Race Theory ‘Indoctrination’ Lie:
Trump and Republicans weaponized Critical Race Theory—a college-level academic framework analyzing systemic racism—by falsely portraying it as a scheme to indoctrinate K-12 students with anti-American values. Trump’s “patriotic education” narrative distorted historical truth to rally his base, as conservative media churned out propaganda portraying CRT as an existential threat to America’s youth.
☐ Biden’s Gaffes = Unfit for Office:
Selective clips of Biden’s verbal stumbles were edited into compilations to suggest cognitive decline. MAGA influencers ignored Biden’s substantive achievements and nuanced speeches, distilling complex policy discussions into misleading soundbites to perpetuate an ageist narrative.
☐ Rising Gas Prices ‘Prove’ Biden Hates America:
Right-wing outlets highlighted rising gas prices and inflation spikes while ignoring global economic trends. This narrative conveniently omitted Biden’s role in key recovery efforts, instead focusing on fostering outrage and economic anxiety.
☐ Climate Change Emails Debunk Global Warming:
Emails from climate scientists were selectively leaked and misrepresented by MAGA activists to fabricate a nonexistent “debate” on global warming. MAGA media ignored the overwhelming scientific consensus and instead weaponized these distortions to erode trust in climate science.
☐ The ‘Woke Mob’ Silences Free Speech:
Instances of university protests against controversial speakers were highlighted as evidence of a broader "woke mob" conspiracy intent on silencing free speech. The context—protests against hate speech, racism, and misogyny—was deliberately excluded, turning principled dissent into a caricature of authoritarianism.
4. Propaganda
Definition: “Biased or misleading information used to promote a political cause or point of view, often distributed by governments or organizations.”
☐ ‘America First’ Dystopian Ads:
Trump’s campaign invested millions in emotionally charged ads depicting dystopian imagery of “Biden’s America.” Grainy images of chaos, often from unrelated events (including many depicting other countries), were paired with ominous voiceovers to stoke fear and paranoia among suburban voters.
☐ Democrats as ‘Enemies of the People’:
Trump’s campaign repeatedly referred to Democrats as “enemies of the people.” This authoritarian language mirrored tactics used in fascist regimes, fostering distrust and division at an unprecedented scale.
☐ Immigrants = Violent Criminals:
Trump’s ads prominently featured mugshots of undocumented immigrants—often for minor or unrelated offenses—implying that Democrats were endorsing violent crime by opposing his immigration policies. The truth—that immigrants contribute significantly to the economy and have lower crime rates—was discarded in favor of incendiary stereotypes.
☐ The ‘Great Replacement’ Theory:
Trump’s allies amplified the racist conspiracy theory that Democrats were encouraging immigration to "replace" white Americans. This toxic rhetoric wasn’t just dog-whistle politics—it was a bullhorn, designed to stoke racial animosity and distract from genuine issues.
5. Fake News
Definition: “Fabricated stories or content presented as legitimate journalism, designed to mislead for political, ideological, or financial gain.”
☐ Abortion Genocide Hoax:
Right-wing extremists fabricated claims that Democrats were using abortion as a tool of eugenics—an "abortion genocide" to control minority populations—weaponizing inflammatory rhetoric to mobilize anti-abortion zealots.
☐ Kamala Harris Coup Fantasy:
Fake headlines claimed Kamala Harris had orchestrated a plan to oust Biden if he was re-elected. This baseless claim targeted moderates, stoking distrust within the Democratic coalition while reinforcing Trump’s false narrative of chaos under Biden.
☐ Biden ‘Bans Beef’ Hoax:
A satirical article was taken literally, leading MAGA influencers to claim Biden planned to outlaw beef consumption. What began as parody became a rallying cry for “real Americans” convinced Biden had declared war on their grills and thereby on American culture."
☐ Democrats Rig Elections in Deepfake Videos:
The 2024 election witnessed a surge in AI-generated content, including deepfake videos and images, “showing” Democratic operatives "admitting" to rigging elections. Despite their obvious fabrication, these deepfakes gained traction in MAGA echo chambers.
☐ Springfield, Ohio:
”THEY’RE EATING THE DOGS! THEY’RE EATING THE CATS!”

Lies and Misinformation Post-2024 Election
The wave of falsehoods that propelled Trump to victory in 2024 didn’t stop at the ballot box—it metastasized. With social media platforms, including Meta, dismantling fact-checking efforts to appease Trump’s administration, the spread of lies has reached a dangerous new peak. Below is a list of ongoing disinformation campaigns. Check each one you’ve fallen for—or knowingly ignored.
☐ Weaponizing "Election Fraud" as a Pretext:
Trump’s administration continues to allege widespread election fraud, claiming Democratic lawmakers are conspiring to suppress the “real will” of the American people. Despite having no factual basis, this narrative justifies changes to voter registration laws that disproportionately affect minority communities.
☐ The "Great Reset" Conspiracy Revival:
Trump and his allies have revived this unfounded conspiracy to inflame fears of a dystopian “socialist” takeover, distracting from their own authoritarian agenda. They warning that Democrats are colluding with global elites to seize private property and dismantle freedoms. This unfounded conspiracy is designed to inflame fears of a dystopian “socialist” takeover, distracting from Trump’s own authoritarian agenda.
☐ Ongoing Anti-Trans Campaigns:
Trump’s administration has doubled down on its attacks against the transgender community, falsely asserting that schools are forcing children into gender transitions without parental consent. These claims have led to a wave of anti-trans legislation at the state level, further marginalizing transgender individuals.
☐ Los Angeles Fire—Fueling the Flames:
As wildfires rage through Los Angeles County, Republicans exploit the devastation to push their tired agenda of blame. Trump targets Governor Gavin Newsom and “diversity hiring,” peddling debunked lies about water conservation and firefighter resources. MAGA media piles on, attacking Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley’s focus on equity while ignoring the real culprits: climate change, drought, and federal inaction. This isn’t about solutions; it’s about deflection. By scapegoating Democrats and DEI, Republicans fuel their base’s rage while letting the actual flames—both literal and figurative—burn unchecked. It’s a masterclass in distraction, leaving truth and accountability to suffocate in the smoke.

6-15 Boxes Checked: Reality is in ruins. You’re too busy shouting conspiracies to notice the wreckage. You’ve swallowed the MAGA playbook whole, letting fear and lies drive every decision.

Final Note to the Test Taker
This test is more than an indictment of your gullibility; it’s a ledger of complicity. As Trump’s second term tightens its stranglehold, understand this: the lies you believed and perpetuated weren’t harmless—they were the lifeblood of a movement that traded truth for tribalism, democracy for demagoguery, and integrity for idolatry. You weren’t just misled; you were recruited. Every box checked on this test marks a wound gouged into the body of a free society. And here’s the cruel truth: ignorance may soothe your conscience, but it will never erase your responsibility. The destruction you’ve enabled will endure far longer than your excuses.
History will not remember this era for the strength of its liars, but for the staggering weakness of those who believed them.
History will remember you.

A Snapshot of My Readership
I was thrilled to recently discover that my readership now spans all 50 states—every single one—and reaches 41 countries worldwide. The top five states by readership? California, Florida, New York, Texas, and Washington. Yes, even Florida—living proof that irony is alive and thriving.
Blue states make up 70% of the audience, but 30% hail from red states, proving that truth-seeking transcends partisan borders. And special recognition goes to red states Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming, where the readership-to-capita ratio is remarkably high. Who knew the most sparsely populated corners could produce such a curious crowd?
To my readers in every corner of the map: thank you for keeping my synapses firing, my sense of self intact, and the conversation alive. 💙✨
The torrent of lies and propaganda unleashed by Trump and his enablers in the 2024 election was so overwhelming—and frankly exhausting—that I didn’t even have room in the main article to address the significant role of foreign intervention. So here it is: Russia, China, and Iran each played active roles in tilting the scales, deploying everything from AI-generated disinformation to cyberattacks on Trump’s opponents. Russia churned out AI-crafted smear campaigns and stoked division through propaganda, while China’s “Spamouflage” network infiltrated social media to inflame cultural and political tensions.
Their efforts were no accident—our adversaries understand that Trump is a destabilizing force, a man whose chaos weakens America from within. And let’s not forget his penchant for kowtowing to dictators, from Putin to Xi, making him a convenient pawn in their strategic games. These foreign powers weren’t just hedging their bets; they were actively investing in the collapse of American stability, knowing Trump would deliver on discord and division. That their interference didn’t even make the main article isn’t a testament to its insignificance but to the fact that Trump’s domestic deluge of lies was even more relentless. When our enemies are rooting for one candidate, you might want to question why.
This is an excellent write up of all the bullshit talking points that have taken over the mainstream media environment. This needs to be deployed to everyone who is "on the fence" or anyone who simply doesn't keep up with politics past Twitter and TikTok. This kind of misinformation is rampant on those platforms. I find that nearly anyone who isn't actively paying attention to the media they are consuming are taken in by rhetoric like this without even realizing it, even some people on the left because it is so pervasive.
Mainstream networks like CNN and MSNBC are also culpable, as they are so soft on Trump and republicans that they often legitimize this absurd propaganda. For ex: All the coverage of the Greenland and Panama Canal stuff in the last week. I felt like pulling my hair out because all these pundits were talking about the possible "strategic" and economic reasons Trump may be saying this, as if threatening to invade our closest allies is a legitimate political stance to have! They should be shouting from the rooftops that this is fascist dictator behavior, and that the people of this country should not be standing by as this man destroys our global credibility as a nation. A line must be drawn somewhere. You are either with Trump, or you are with Liberty and the Constitution, there is no middle ground anymore.
