What this list clearly shows is the complete and utter disregard for competence, integrity and any semblance of even the slightest concern for the welfare of the citizens of the United States.
It's a given that Trump and his cabal are a bunch of narcissistic sociopaths who only want POWER and to make themselves feel like figures in a Godfather movie.
But what I still can't get my head around are all these Republican lawmakers, who trot around wearing little American flags on their lapels and pretend to be such great patriots, supporting any of these clearly unqualified and dangerous nominees when they (I assume) are aware and intelligent enough to see exactly where this is all headed. Putting a nut like Kennedy in charge of health and a low IQ drunk like Hegseth in charge of the military, etc. etc.? In what world does this end well? Or do they actually want to see it all "go down in flames"?
Maybe because they are in positions of power and "above the fray", they feel they can just stand back and watch the "average" people get decimated because they know that, ultimately, they have enough money and influence to get food and clean water, live in secure places, keep their kids in good schools, and pay for their wives' cancer treatments. But the total lack of integrity, decency and character still shocks me.
(Also, once again - a brilliantly written piece!!)
Thank you for your sharp and insightful commentary—it resonates deeply. The hypocrisy of these so-called patriots is staggering. They drape themselves in the flag while enabling chaos and incompetence, all for power and self-preservation. Their actions suggest they believe they’ll escape the consequences of their own destruction, leaving the “average” citizen to bear the brunt. The brazenness is as appalling as it is predictable—and yet, as you point out, it still manages to shock.
This is a great breakdown and the emojis are awesome. Your list is pretty thorough. I think Herschel Walker was not on the list but other than that, outstanding!
It's all so awful and it (seems to have) happened so quickly. In Trump's first term, we worried and complained that Trump had so many "acting" positions since his nominees were not "confirmable" - and this was in Mitch McConnell's senate! This time, the notion of "not confirmable" seems absolutely quaint. They will all be confirmed with the GOP-controlled Senate willingly handing over its constitutional status.
I am surprised that there are not at least a few elected Republicans who will take a stand to preserve the Senate.
You are a brilliant writer. I enjoyed these letters. You are 100% on target. Keep up the good work.
Thank you…and I plan on keeping it up for a long time. For better or worse, there will be lots to write about.
The only cabinet this group belongs in is the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
I love a good German Expressionist film reference.
It’s not a cabinet. It’s a junk drawer.
This is brilliant. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
OMG IF this was ALL EMOJIS MAGAts could read it!
It looks like the wanna-be mob boss has, at last, found his mob.
Well. Pardon me for a second. I need to go throw up. Back later.
Haha
Brilliant!
Everyone of them is a psychopath.
Patel needs more emojis.
Lots more.
Patel’s a disaster
Brilliant writing

Great article and saved for future reference. Not one redeemable quality in any of these nominees.
