I've been viewing the ongoing destruction of our education system since Reagan and the results are in with the behavior of the MAGA crowd. This was a great look at our past manias. Another fantastic Open Letter, Mersault—all the history trump worshipers have forgotten (or, most likely, didn't know to begin with because education is another of their weak points) and are doomed to repeat. I know comparisons to Nazi Germany are now old hat but that's in there, as well; despite all the openly outward signs, they're still falling into the Hitler trap of "nationalism" and I'm convinced that, because of it, people are going to die one way or another—whether it's mishandling of another epidemic or pandemic, vigilante-style "cleaning up the country" on perceived orders from their savior, or outright rounding up portions of the population to be put into modern-day concentration camps. As always, a pleasure to read and a great walk down "memory lane" with perfect parallels. It does beg the question, though - when will the "Magaots" realize they've been conned? I imagine that even when they do realize they unquestioningly swallowed everything that was served up, they will they never admit to it because it's too embarrassing to acknowledge that they sold out their country, the future of their children and their souls because they got caught up in their frenzy of grievances. Or maybe the reality is that there are simply a lot of cruel, whiny and uninformed people who actually have no interest in seeing past the "bright shiny things" (i.e., lies) being waved in front of their faces.
There was a writing after WW II wherein the author said that he wasn't too worried when they started rounding up the communists and the Jews because he was neither, but eventually they came for him, and nobody was there to stand up for him. Their Dear Leader and his minions will turn on them eventually but it may be too late by then. What will always annoy me is that they have dragged EVERYONE else down into the gutter as well.
Now if this excellent message had a way of painlessly seeping into All. MAGAt’s brains and Transforming them into full Functioning overnight so they Actually could work like those of normal humans do, we would have a our country fully back to normal Again! That lunatic wouldn’t be going to the White House, he’d be arrested, brought to jail where he belongs and serving a life sentence for treason along with all his fellow criminals. And the rest of us would be peacefully getting back to normal, preparing for the upcoming presidential elections a future with repairs for strengthening of democracy and the upcoming 200 years Celebration of Independence!

I've been likening this to Salem, or the Inquisition for literally, a decade, it has the feel of "mass psychosis" and has done from the very beginning to me. What else can explain this blind devotion to the most despicable piece of work, bar none, in American history? What is striking to me, are the similarities to the Manson Family, if you go watch the interviews, for example, in prison, of Charles Manson, what jumps out at you are the parallels between Mason and Trump's speech patterns. It's the same stuff, same wahataboutery, same deflection, same free rambling, word association etc. The most frightenimg similarity, is that THIS "Family", is multiplied by 70+ million, and just like the family's devotion to Charlie, some of them would willingly kill or die for him, it is a chilling thought...
