I went back to read the article and good lord is that commenter an idiot, but a prime example of how Trump got re-elected. The commenter claims “no forensic evidence”. I guess he just ignored the voluminous amounts of evidence the Nazis themselves compiled. They kept very meticulous records of their atrocities.

That same person replied on my comment in your article, and he/she/it tried to rebut my comment, and another reply, with snide remarks. It was an outright anti-Jewish rant by that account. Thank you for your detailed and intelligent responses to the hate.

Thank you for your kind words, Rain. It’s clear that this individual’s responses are rooted in bad faith and prejudice, and engaging further would only give them the attention they’re seeking. Hate speech and baseless accusations don’t merit our time or energy. Let’s focus on constructive conversations and continue standing against the kind of rhetoric they’re spreading.

I’ve always believed that it is easier to be evil than to be otherwise. It takes less conscious thought, and relies more on the reptilian brain stem than the prefrontal cortex.

And to the Trump supporters who “don’t like his personality” but claim they “like his fiscal policies”… take a look around you and understand that you are the company you keep.

Wow…there was no educating that guy at all and even a ball-peen hammer between his eyes wouldn’t have opened his mind a tiny bit. In fact from what he said about “eye witness accounts” not being evidence of the holocaust that you need ”forensic evidence” and he couldn’t find any….just tells you that a 2” deep bleeding gash between his eyes wouldn’t open his eyes to his own injury so how could he believe that millions of humans were destroyed by Hitler and his goons….I can’t imagine what this guy is like to live with but I’m sure he lords over any wife or kids unfortunate enough to be in his really closed off “life”.

Scary and sad for all of us to know these goons exist and have now been given a forum to spew their uneducated crap world wide….he definitely learned nothing from the German people he met and thought so much of because they have spent decades making sure their own people don’t make the same mistakes of those who lived and died during Hitler’s horrific reign of terror…sad and scary for all of us.

Good to see someone has read the Goldhagen book, I cite it occasionally and no one has ever heard of it. I’ve made a minor study of the Holocaust, some of us are paying closer attention to.

I read it. The book seems to have had its time and is now mostly forgotten, though. Publisher should start pushing it again - it’s timely.

Well…that Hinnenkamp guy sure seems to have a lot of free time. Too bad he’s not using it to remedy some of his, um, mistaken ideas.

I am thoroughly enjoying Open Letters by Mersault. Canadians follow American politics closely because what goes around there comes around to Canada. We are experiencing our own MAGAs. Our Conservative leader is a Trump wannabe complete with slogans and lies. His followers are just as brainwashed and cultist as Trumps. Like Trump and MAGA hate Biden, so too does our version of Trump, Poilievre (pwa-lee-ever) and his cult hate Prime Minister Trudeau. Trudeau, like Biden, is a kind, soft-spoken, diplomatic man who genuinely cares about the welfare of the citizens of Canada. He resigned from his position as PM a few days ago. It was a sad day because too many Canadians don't realize what we had with Trudeau. Some day most people will realize what a great man and prime minister he was. Unfortunately some never will.

Thank you for your thoughtful note. It seems MAGA’s northern cousin has arrived, and Poilievre is eager to play the understudy. As for Trudeau, history has a way of humbling the critics and vindicating the statesmen. Here’s to seeing the fog lift—on both sides of the border.

My wife & I were in Germany for 2 weeks in Setember-October 2022, Berlin, Muenchen, some Mittel Rhein villages & Koeln. We both know a bit of history & became interested in googling the sights we visited with the date 1945. Wow. Every city, every sight has some degree of bombing damage, some extremely heavy. I've also read about the challenges of post-war de-Nazification. I'm afraid that we are going into a long night of Maggot-ification and I don't see how it ends because the ignorant masses will remain ignorant of the damage being wrought on the US by the orange turd & his crew. Our new government of the rich, by the rich, for the rich will emiserate 10s of millions.

Sounds like Hinnenkamp’s response is a written GPT-type written response, because although the use of the language is correct, the reasoning and rationalization isn’t. Like someone said to GPT: “Write a response to this article that contradicts the main propositions of the article…”. Although, you have to question the rationalization & mental health of people who support ‘Flat Earth’ theories, that vaccines cause more disease, that we never landed on the moon, Pizzagate, Q-anon, etc. Just have to say, is it better to try to re-educate them, re-orient them to truth & reality, or just leave them be, because you decide they’re hopeless & you don’t have enough energy or time to try to help them - because they deny they need help & thus will refuse any help offered. A conundrum, is it willful ignorance, willful stupidity - so they can feel powerful by ‘sticking-a-finger in-the-eye’ of their perceived opponent; do they feel so ostracized from society & this all the fundamental principles that that society is built upon, that they whole-heartedly reject those principles through twisted & puzzled logic; or do you decide to not engage, because it’s so entrenched & defended - and you don’t know them or care about them anyway. But, they’re out there & they’ve shown they’re not only gullible to such twisted logic, but that they’re also attracted to, & this type of personality has been prevalent throughout history. Of particular interest is the mindsets of the people who supported Hitler, the Nazi party, or tolerated them. I appreciate the continued historical autopsies of WWII. Why? Who? How? Because just like the historical remnants of great human conflicts in the past, the American Civil War & racism in modern-day America, and WWII & the incorporation of naziism & fascism into the hateful resentments taught to generations of Americans, to just ignore these people could bring about deleterious consequences on our society & the government we’ve worked for, bled for, and died for.

Well, well, well, an entire article dedicated to my comments. Bravo. And by the looks of it, all that read your posts are equally brainwashed to the official historical narrative. No doubt their reading list consists of history books written by Jewish authors. Or at least those published by Jewish publishers. They probably also watch movies produced by Jewish controlled Hollywood and stories posted by the Jewish controlled media.

How many have been to numerous Holocaust museums to confirm their bias? I have been to three. I know propaganda when I see it.

No one here has offered any forensic evidence for the Holocaust, which they all believe is a historical event. One commenter even said to ask for forensic evidence is akin to gaslighting. Am I the only one that thinks that comment is totally ridiculous?

Seriously, does anyone here have a brain, or an ability to think critically? I see no evidence of it. Apparently this site is not for those seeking truth, but only for those who support “official” narratives.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the Holocaust denier—or is it the Holocaust justifier? It’s hard to tell, but the distinction is irrelevant when the rhetoric is this vile. For those curious, I’ve already dismantled his points in the comments section of my original post:

Yes, Trump Is Like Hitler, but Not in the Ways You Think.

https://open.substack.com/pub/patricemersault/p/yes-trump-is-like-hitler-but-not?r=4d7sow&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

I won’t be engaging with him here, and I don’t suggest you do either. I could block him, but viruses die when exposed to light. With every sentence, he not only justifies my point that Trump supporters and fascists walk hand in hand, but he also reveals the depths of their shared disdain for truth, decency, and humanity itself.

And, thank you for your support, Kommandant Hinnenkamp. Truly, it's contributions like yours that make my arguments practically write themselves. Bravo!

He keeps spouting off about “forensic evidence” . I think he doesn’t even know what that means. Nor is it likely that he qualified to recognize forensic evidence if rose up and spit in his face.

By the way, I blocked him because he’s a troll.
